I run detection tests almost daily. Over the last 18 months, the trend has been steadily toward the fact that AI generators are getting better and detectors are, of course, adapting.

Most people think that the tools that have worked best in this test do visual pattern matching but they don’t. They’re reading statistical artifacts at the pixel level and that will not change from one generator to another.
